Health & Safety ManagerMission Critical Data Centre ProjectLocation: FinlandSector: Data Centre / Mission Critical ConstructionThe OpportunityA leading international contractor is delivering a flagship data centre project in Finland and is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead all HSE activities across site. This is a pivotal role on a technically complex, mission-critical development, offering the chance to shape and drive a best-in-class safety culture across the entire project.As Health & Safety Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with company standards, local legislation, and international best practice. Your leadership will directly impact the safety, wellbeing, and performance of the project team.The RoleYou will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the project HSE management system, providing strategic guidance and operational support to site teams. Working closely with senior management, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives, you will embed a proactive safety culture and ensure the safe delivery of all works.Key Duties• Lead all Health & Safety activities on a major data centre construction project• Develop, implement, and maintain the project HSE management system and safety plans• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure compliance and continuous improvement• Drive engagement with site teams to promote a positive and proactive safety culture• Oversee investigations into incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, ensuring timely corrective actions• Ensure all subcontractors and site personnel adhere to HSE requirements• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to all levels of the workforce• Liaise with project management, design teams, and clients to resolve HSE matters and integrate safety into all project activities• Prepare and maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and dashboards for senior management and client stakeholders• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practice across the projectAbout You• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager on large-scale construction projects, ideally within mission-critical or data centre environments• Strong knowledge of local and international HSE legislation, standards, and best practice• Relevant qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)• Confident and influential communicator capable of engaging at all levels• Proactive, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities on a fast-paced site• Experience in leading site HSE teams and managing subcontractor complianceWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary and packageAccommodation and rotation support (where applicable)Flights and travel allowancePerformance-related bonusHealthcare and pensionThe opportunity to lead Health & Safety on a flagship, technically complex data centre project in Finland, shaping a high-performance safety culture and furthering your career within a leading international contractor
