Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre Project (Sintra, Lisbon, Portugal)Salary: €100,000 - €110,000 + Accommodation + Transport + Rotation 17/4 + €1,000 Living Cost p/mLocation: Sintra, Lisbon, PortugalType: Full-Time, Site-Based We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the full mechanical scope of works on a major data centre project in Sintra, Portugal. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive project delivery across engineering, installation, quality, safety, and commercial functions. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure mechanical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all mechanical works in line with project specifications, budgets, and schedulesTrack and manage key milestones to prevent delays and maintain programme integrityReview and assess construction proposals, scope documents, and cost inputsLead, mentor, and support engineers, supervisors, foremen, and package managersEngage directly with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverablesCoordinate with design teams and subcontractors to manage scope, progress, and timelinesImplement daily and weekly work planning to optimise productivity and site performanceOversee subcontractor progress, manpower levels, and quality of installationCoordinate mechanical activities with other subcontractors in shared work areasPrepare comprehensive weekly project reports, including:Incident / accident reportsSchedule progress (planned vs. actual)12-week lookaheadProcurement / long-lead item forecastsVariation logsRisk and delay notificationsConsolidate supervisor reports to track achievements, risks, and material statusConduct weekly commercial meetings to ensure all variations and costs are capturedPromote a strong QHSE culture, ensuring safe systems of work and high-quality standardsManage change control processes, including cost and programme impact assessmentsMaintain and improve company procedures alongside package managersRequirementsStrong experience delivering mechanical scopes on large-scale or mission-critical construction projectsProven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering and site teamsAbility to manage budgets, schedules, technical coordination, and contractor performanceStrong understanding of mechanical installation methodologies and MEP integrationExcellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with data centre, industrial, or high-tech projects is highly desirableBenefits€100,000 - €110,000 + Accommodation + Transport + Rotation 17/4 + €1,000 Living Cost p/mOpportunity to work on major data centre developmentsCollaborative and supportive team environmentStrong progression and career development opportunitiesCompetitive salary package
