With a strong project pipeline and long-term client relationships, they offer a stable, high-performance environment with clear career progression.Reporting to the Design Manager, the Design Engineer will support the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality design solutions on a major data centre project. This role offers excellent exposure to large-scale mission-critical engineering, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, BIM specialists, and external consultants.It is ideally suited to an engineer looking to build long-term experience in complex data centre and advanced technology projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Design Manager in delivering coordinated designs from concept through construction and commissioningProduce, review, and coordinate design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation in line with project specifications and standardsLiaise with internal engineering teams, BIM teams, and external consultants to ensure fully coordinated and clash-free designsAssist with the Technical Submittal (TS) process, ensuring alignment with programme and client requirementsRespond to design queries and RFIs accurately and within agreed timeframesSupport design change management, identifying impacts on cost, programme, and constructabilityParticipate in design workshops, coordination meetings, and internal technical reviewsEnsure all design outputs comply with quality, health & safety, and environmental standardsAssist with preparation of as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and final handover deliverablesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline2–5 years’ experience in a design engineering role within a contractor or consultancy environmentExperience on large-scale projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or commercial developments is advantageousStrong understanding of design coordination and construction methodologiesExperience working with BIM and digital construction tools is desirableProficient in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software is an advantageHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approachWhat’s on OfferOpportunity to work on flagship hyperscale data centre projectsLong-term career development within a high-growth, mission-critical sectorExposure to full project lifecycle from design through commissioningCompetitive salary and benefits packageSupportive, technically strong, and collaborative working environment
