Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Project (Espoo, Finland)€95,000 – €105,000 + Rotation + Accommodation + Travel + €1,000 Net Living AllowanceAn experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Espoo, Finland. This is a senior commercial role with full responsibility for cost control, procurement strategy, subcontract management, and client-facing commercial activities on a large, complex MEP-led project. Working as part of a high-performing site-based commercial team, you will take ownership of multiple subcontract packages and provide strategic commercial input to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements. The role offers long-term project security, exposure to technically complex mission-critical construction, and a clear path for career progression within a rapidly growing European data centre delivery business. Key ResponsibilitiesTake full commercial responsibility for assigned work packages from pre-award through to final accountMeasure and value works from drawings, specifications, and site records, applying appropriate rates and commercial strategiesLead procurement activities, including tender analysis, subcontract negotiation, and contract awardManage and maintain the project budget in line with direction from the Project DirectorPrepare and submit accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows in accordance with internal proceduresAdminister subcontractor accounts, including interim valuations, change management, and final account agreementManage client commercial communications and attend monthly commercial and progress meetingsIdentify, prepare, and submit claims, variations, and contractual notices in line with contract provisionsProactively manage cost risk, value engineering opportunities, and commercial exposureResolve commercial issues and disputes with clients and subcontractors in a professional and timely mannerSupport and mentor junior commercial staff as requiredEnsure all commercial documentation is accurately maintained and auditableRequirementsBachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline8+ years’ experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or equivalent roleStrong background in large-scale construction projects (data centres, MEP, industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical projects preferred)Proven experience managing multiple subcontract packages and complex cost structuresExcellent knowledge of contract administration and change control processesStrong commercial acumen with the ability to influence project outcomesExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsHighly organised with strong analytical and reporting capabilitiesPrevious data centre project experience is highly advantageous but not essentialPackage & Benefits€95,000 – €105,000 base salary (depending on experience)Rotational rosterAccommodation fully providedAll travel covered€1,000 net monthly living allowanceOpportunity to work on one of Europe’s largest data centre developmentsLong-term pipeline of projects across the Nordics and mainland EuropeClear career progression within a fast-growing, market-leading contractorCollaborative, professional site environment focused on delivery excellence
