A leading contractor delivering works on a National Grid substation project in Melksham is looking for an experienced M&E Mechanical Supervisor to join the site team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a high-profile infrastructure environment, ensuring safe, compliant and well-coordinated delivery of mechanical and electrical activities on site.
The Role
As the M&E Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical and electrical works on a live National Grid substation project, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project and regulatory requirements.

Duties will include:

Supervising M&E activities across the site
Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with National Grid safety standards
Coordinating trades, ensuring safe systems of work are maintained
Monitoring progress and reporting any issues to site management
Ensuring all documentation, permits and authorisations are correctly followed
Supporting site safety, toolbox talks and daily coordination

Essential Requirements

NG Person authorisation (Mandatory)
Manual Handling certification (Mandatory)
Experience supervising mechanical and/or electrical works
Strong understanding of site safety compliance
Ability to lead teams and maintain high standards of quality and coordination

Desirable Skills

Previous experience working on National Grid or other high-voltage substation environments
Strong mechanical supervision background
Excellent communication and leadership skills
