About the Company

We are a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering high-quality building services solutions across the South East. Our projects include commercial new builds, refurbishments, fit-outs and high-end residential developments. With a strong and growing order book, we are looking to strengthen our pre-construction team with an experienced Electrical Estimator.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-driven Electrical Estimator to join our team based in Dunmow. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of commercial and high-end residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed electrical estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documents
Carry out take-offs and produce accurate cost breakdowns
Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations
Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required
Identify value engineering opportunities
Work closely with project managers and directors during handover
Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and within deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an M&E contractor
Strong understanding of commercial, refurbishment, fit-out and high-end residential projects
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficient in estimating software and Excel
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Excellent communication and organisational skills
