Overview

Our client is currently seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team across multiple projects in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale mechanical and electrical (M&E) packages valued at approximately £10 million, supporting high-profile and technically complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership and responsibility for defined scopes of work within mechanical and electrical packages.
Work collaboratively within a commercial team, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn all aspects of M&E.
Carry out detailed measurement from plan drawings and isometrics to produce fully priced bills of quantities, including labour hours and material costs.
Track and report on project costs, labour hours, and progress against earned value schedules.
Prepare detailed cost plans, construction take-offs, and monitor cost and labour efficiency throughout project delivery.
Present take-offs in a clear and coherent format, ensuring compliance with NRM2 standards and procedures.
Manage monthly CCS submissions, valuations, and certification agreements in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare and issue subcontract assessments, payment certificates, and payless notices in line with the Construction Act.
Produce accurate monthly cash flow reports and ensure timely agreement of final accounts.
Manage subcontract procurement, contract agreements, and oversee commercial management through to final account.
Maintain awareness of potential third-party claims and ensure the company is protected from commercial exposure.
Support continuous professional development by engaging in RICS competencies and learning from senior team members.

What We Are Looking For

Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Quantity Surveying function.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project finances effectively.
Experience with mechanical and electrical packages on projects valued at approximately £10 million.
Excellent understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems.
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous improvement.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
