We are working with a leading MEP contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking to work on major £10m–£15m M&E projects, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work and excellent long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

Preparing detailed mechanical estimates and tenders
Pricing mechanical packages for projects valued at £10m–£15m
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Preparing accurate bills of quantities and cost plans
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Attending tender meetings and site visits where required
Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
Working closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams
Supporting the development of competitive and commercially robust tenders
Managing multiple tenders and deadlines effectively

About You

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator
Strong experience working for an MEP / M&E contractor
Experience pricing significant commercial projects
Ideally experienced with projects in the £10m–£15m range
Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services
Excellent knowledge of mechanical packages, suppliers and subcontractors
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Confident analysing drawings, specifications and tender documents
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
