Electrical Estimator – Building Services, Healthcare, NHS & Commercial Projects

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator, Senior Electrical Estimator or M&E Estimator to join a leading Building Services Contractor delivering Healthcare, NHS, Hospital, Commercial, Industrial, and Education projects across the Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with experience in Electrical Building Services, M&E, MEP, and Electrical Installation projects to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work. You will play a key role within the Pre-Construction team, preparing competitive tenders and cost plans for projects valued up to £5 million.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate Electrical Estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions for Building Services and M&E projects.
Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
Complete detailed electrical take-offs and quantity measurements.
Obtain, analyse, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Prepare competitive pricing for Electrical Building Services and M&E projects.
Raise RFIs and liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and supply chain partners.
Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
Support bid submissions, pre-construction activities, and project handovers.
Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing databases.
Work closely with operational and commercial teams throughout the tender process.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator, Senior Electrical Estimator, M&E Estimator, MEP Estimator, or Building Services Estimator.
Proven experience estimating and tendering Electrical Building Services, M&E, or MEP projects.
Experience within Healthcare, NHS, Hospital, Commercial, Industrial, or Education sectors.
Strong understanding of electrical installations, building services systems, and construction methodologies.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in preparing competitive tenders and cost plans.
