Job Summary
MEP Quantity Surveyors (QS) should have strong experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tendering, and cost control for MEP works across commercial, residential, and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailedquantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimatesfor MEP works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting).
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accurate estimates.
- Assist intendering, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Monitorproject costs, variations, and change ordersand highlight budget deviations.
- Preparebilling, RA bills, final accounts, and cost reports.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, site execution, and project teams.
- Evaluate subcontractor bills and certify payments.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and project documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma inMechanical / Electrical Engineeringor a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experienceas an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
- Proven experience incommercial, residential, and fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, specifications, and industry standards.
- Proficiency inMS Excel, quantity take-off tools, and estimation software.
- Good understanding of contracts, billing, and cost control practices.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
