Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate engineer to join our engineering team in Bough Beech, Kent. The is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career within a friendly and supportive environment, working on diverse projects and products across the wastewater, energy from waste, municipal waste and general industrial sectors.
You will assist and be exposed to the full life cycle of projects from the estimating and proposals stage through to design, project delivery, commissioning & aftercare/support.
Main Duties
- Receiving client enquiries, interpreting requirements and assisting in the determination of the most appropriate solution.
- Attending site visits, surveys & client meetings.
- Assisting with Project Estimating.
- Writing and submitting high quality, detailed, technical proposals.
- Attending to client requests for further information and technical queries.
- Support and assist with the detailed design stage of the projects including using industry design software such as AutoCAD.
- Assist with procurement and management of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with project management.
- Assist with on-site commissioning.
- In common with most SME’s the successful candidate will be expected to perform other functions as required.
Requirements
- You must have a minimum 2.1 degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a UK university
- Good solid and demonstrable IT skills particularly in Microsoft office suite.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A creative mindset.
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Ability to travel and stay away overnight when required
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Driving License
- Due to the nature of the work you must have a British Passport or have proof of a permanent right to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available for this role.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
