Quantity Surveyor – CambridgeshireAn established and growing construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a main contracting background to join its commercial team in Cambridgeshire.The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, education, commercial, and rail sectors, covering new build, refurbishment, and fit-out works. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working across varied project types while applying strong contractor-side commercial expertise in a professional consultancy environment.Responsibilities• Commercial ManagementManage all commercial aspects of projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring effective cost control, value engineering, and commercial reporting in line with contractor best practice.• Procurement & Subcontract ManagementPrepare tender documentation, evaluate subcontractor packages, place orders, and manage subcontractor accounts, including variations, valuations, and final accounts.• Cost Reporting & ForecastingProduce accurate cost value reconciliations (CVRs), cash flow forecasts, and monthly commercial reports, identifying risks and opportunities and advising project stakeholders accordingly.• Change Control & Contract AdministrationAdminister variations, change events, and contractual correspondence under standard forms of contract, supporting project teams to protect commercial position and maximise project value.• Stakeholder & Project Team CollaborationWork closely with site teams, project managers, clients, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered commercially efficiently, on time, and within budget across a broad range of sectors and work types.RequirementsMust have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally working with a Main ContractorMust be based within a commutable distance of CambridgeshireMust have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent construction backgroundBenefits£55,000 - £75,000 + Package
