Project Manager A regional main contractor delivering building and energy projects across the UK is seeking a freelance Project Manager to manage a standalone energy centre project. The role is fully site-based and focuses on project delivery and client liaison rather than MEP design.The project involves a small warehouse-type building housing industrial-grade ground source heat pumps. A specialist MEP subcontractor is on site, so the focus is on construction management and coordination of site activities.Key Duties & Responsibilities• Manage day-to-day project delivery and ensure works are on programme, within budget, and to quality standards• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and labour on site• Act as the primary point of contact for the client and consultant teams• Monitor progress and escalate issues, risks, or required programme changes• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements• Maintain project records, reports, and handover documentationDay Rate • £400–£450 per day• Fully expensed travel and subsistence where required• Flexible start date, immediate availability preferred• Short-term freelance opportunity (~18 months, with potential follow-on regional projects)Duration: Full project lifecycle (~18 months)
