Immediate contract position for a building services engineer with electrical qualifications - ideally a December start
The electrical engineer will be expected to monitor and manage the day-to-day Electrical engineering operations of the estate, including all aspects of breakdown, planned preventative, statutory and legislative maintenance.
Manage minor capital engineering projects and provide professional and technical advice and assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage the day-to-day Electrical engineering services including power, lighting, Fire safety systems, lifts, auto doors, disabled refuge systems, PAT, building management systems, energy
management and environmental management. Work with the incumbent M&E
contractor managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the contract.
Provide professional and technical advice and guidance on electrical
engineering matters including the interpretation and implementation of
existing and new legislation, regulation and codes of practices etc.
Prepare asset lists for new buildings and planned maintenance schedules,
using these to obtain costs for service contracts.
To monitor and allocate maintenance calls via the Servicedesk.
Please note you will be expected to work shifts as follows
Typical shifts: 6am–2pm or 8am–4pm. Includes premises duties such as opening/locking and general maintenance (shift patterns may vary: 6am–2pm, 8am–4pm, 2pm–10pm).
