Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Project (Espoo, Finland)Salary: €100,000 - €110,000 + Accommodation + Transport + Rotation 17/4 + €1,000 Living Cost p/mLocation: Espoo, Uusimaa, FinlandType: Full-Time, Site-BasedWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a major data centre project in Espoo, Finland. This position is site-based and involves working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality mechanical systems and installations.The Mechanical Engineer will support technical delivery, design coordination, procurement, and oversight of mechanical services throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage communication with clients and project stakeholders
Lead or support design management activities
Coordinate with contractors to ensure mechanical and MEP services integrate seamlessly
Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
Complete all HVAC-related deliverables in alignment with project and safety standards
Coordinate installation sequencing for pipework and mechanical systems
Oversee procurement of plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors
Support installation works to achieve the required quality standards and programme milestones
Assist with commissioning activities and final project handover
Document and cost changes to scope, and support monthly valuations and final accounts

Requirements

Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within an M&E contracting environment
Strong design management experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
