This organisation delivers full turnkey solutions — constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, civils, structures/superstructure, M&E installation, fit-out, and handover. Company turnover currently exceeds €1bn, and the business continues to grow steadily year-on-year.As they expand their footprint in Northern Europe, they are now seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a hyper-scale data centre new build in Northern Denmark. This is a high-impact leadership role on a technically complex, fast-paced Tier IV project — a key development within Europe’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure network.As Project Director, you will be fully accountable for the safe, timely, and commercially successful delivery of this state-of-the-art hyperscale facility. Reporting directly to regional executive leadership, you will lead a large multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with international clients, consultants, and technology partners to ensure world-class delivery standards.Key Responsibilities• Provide overall leadership, direction, and oversight of a high-value, mission-critical data centre project• Ensure adherence to strict programme schedules, safety standards, and Tier III/IV quality benchmarks• Lead commercial strategy, cost management, and contract execution• Engage with client and consultant teams to align design, MEP integration, commissioning, and handover• Build and manage a high-performance on-site delivery team, including international subcontractors• Develop and implement risk management plans and robust reporting structures• Ensure full compliance with Danish and EU regulatory, safety, and labour requirementsRequirements• 15+ years of construction experience with a minimum of 5 years in a Project Director or equivalent leadership role• Proven track record in delivering large-scale data centres, high-tech, or mission-critical facilities (€200M+)• Strong understanding of Tier III/IV data centre design, construction, and commissioning• Experience working in Northern or Central Europe on complex international projects• Culturally aware and capable of leading diverse, multinational teams• Degree-qualified in engineering, construction, or a related discipline• Fluent in English; Danish or another Nordic language is advantageous• Eligible to work in DenmarkWhat We Offer• Leadership of one of the most significant data centre builds in Northern Europe• Competitive salary package + expatriate or relocation support• Long-term career opportunity in a region with a strong pipeline of hyperscale and technology infrastructure projects• Accommodation, travel, and rotation support package (where applicable)• Work with one of the most respected international contractors in the European data centre sector
