Are you an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor looking for your next opportunity with a leading building services contractor?

We are currently working with an established Tier 1 MEP contractor delivering major mechanical and electrical building services projects across London.

The business has a strong reputation within the construction and building services sector, working on large-scale, technically complex projects for some of the capital's most prominent developments which include commercial, shell and core, data centre and life sciences all over the United Kingdom

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior MEP QS looking to join the UK;s leading building services contractor

The Role

As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts
Subcontract procurement and tender analysis
Negotiating subcontract orders and commercial agreements
Measuring and valuing mechanical and electrical works
Managing variations and change control
Preparing and agreeing interim applications and payments
Managing subcontractor accounts
Reviewing contracts and managing commercial risk
Identifying commercial opportunities and cost savings
Supporting procurement and value engineering exercises
Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Design Teams
Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, clients and project stakeholders

About You

Experience in MEP / M&E Quantity Surveying
Strong mechanical and/or electrical building services knowledge
Experience managing subcontract packages
Strong procurement and negotiation experience
Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
The ability to take ownership of packages and work independently

Candidates currently working within major MEP contractors or established Tier 1 building services businesses are particularly encouraged to apply.
